A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

I know that bringing on a team member can be a little bit daunting. That’s why I wanted to give you a little more information about my background in education and as a virtual assistant.

My Story

I will forever be grateful for my 10 years of experience working in the public education setting. I was able to put my organizational skills to the ultimate test as I completed IEPs and related paperwork, implemented specially designed instruction, managed a team of paraprofessionals, and maintained open communication with parents.

I also spent some time as a substitute teacher in the general education setting. Since I initially received my degree in Elementary Education, I love spending time in the general education classroom as well.

It’s important to me to stay connected to education, so I volunteer weekly at my daughter’s elementary school.

Many people wonder why I no longer teach. Over seven years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33. This experience opened my eyes to the fact that life is just too short to be so stressed all the time. After finishing treatment with a clean bill of health, I decided to take time off from teaching to be home with our youngest daughter until she entered kindergarten.

It was during these years that I discovered blogging as a creative outlet. When a friend in digital marketing saw the blog traffic I was receiving from Pinterest, she asked if I would subcontract for her as a Pinterest manager.

The rest, as they say, is history.

I have now been a virtual assistant for over five years. Most of my services have been provided as a Pinterest manager, but I now offer many other services as well.

Since I work hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance, my passion is to help busy teacherpreneurs do the same.

One of my favorite parts of this business is consulting with potential clients and discovering how I can be of most service to them.

I love the moment in our consultation when a new client literally breathes a sigh of relief, knowing that I’ll be able to drive traffic to their content with little-to-no additional effort on their part.
