After almost 80 episodes, it's time for the Pay Less for Traffic podcast to take its first season break. Let's chat about what you can expect.
Welcome back to the podcast. All month, we've been wrapping up listener questions to get us ready for a successful new year. As part of this process, I started to reflect and I decided that the end of the year will be a good time to wrap up the Payless for Traffic podcast for a season break.
This podcast launched back in July of 2024. And when the new year rolled around just a few months later, the podcast was still quite young and I didn't have any data showing me when my content seemed most helpful for my listeners. And so I decided to keep podcasting for the first full 12 months. But then data had told me that back to school season is a teacher business owners new year, new me season. And I felt like it was important to keep the podcast going after the first year until the end of 2025.
I have continued to survey listeners and watch my podcast data to see if there was an opportunity for me to take a season break at some point and regroup. I discovered that summer is not the time for this podcast to take a break because that's when a lot of teacher business owners are ready to blog up a storm and they want to focus on their traffic strategy with podcasts and other resources.
And so if back to school season wasn't right and summer wasn't right, it kind of left the dead of winter and early spring as the best option for a season break. with that said, I have been podcasting every week for almost 18 months and it is time for me to reluctantly take that break. But that doesn't mean I'm going off the grid. I'm still available to help you with free traffic tips.
First, I would highly recommend signing up for the Tuesday Traffic Tip. It has been quiet for the past couple of months because I just didn't want to add to the holiday noise. But starting in January, I will be in your inbox every Tuesday with a traffic tip to help you make the most of your organic marketing efforts.
I'll also continue to give you a peek behind the scenes at my efforts to bring my old blog back to life. And hopefully during this break, I will have a little more time to make some progress on that front.
Second, you have a bank of almost 80 podcast episodes to catch up on or revisit during the season break. From Google SEO to Pinterest to blogging tips, we have covered a lot of ground together since July of last year. Third, you might see me pop up on Instagram here and there with a traffic tip. And finally, I also have some free on-demand workshops that you'll be able to access during the break.
They are filmed and ready to go, but I just haven't had a chance to get them on my website. So that is the first thing on my list to work on during the season break. And my email list will be the first to know when they're ready.
While my return date isn't set in stone quite yet, I do know what you can expect when I come back from the season break. First, the video version of the podcast will return with a new office backdrop and better lighting.
Second, we will have more interview episodes. I really have missed chatting with other teacher business owners about their experiences with organic marketing. I think it's helpful for us to hear from people who are living the same traffic highs and lows as we are. The season break will give me breathing room to get those interviews scheduled.
Finally, there will be additional content that will support you as a teacher business owner. I have some new resources that I've been working on, as well as some free video tutorials for my YouTube channel. Long story short, while the podcast might be on a break, I won't be going anywhere. I'll be working hard behind the scenes creating content and resources that will help you get more traffic without shelling out money for ads or expensive tools.
